I am African, I am Igbo. My tribe was had one of the major sources of slaves during the slave. I can tell you for free that we played a large role in slavery itself. Africans went to war, captured other Africans, and sold them to the white men as slaves for profit. So yes, we played some role in our own oppression. I see your point, but I don't think its valid.

As regards the issue of gender, you are correct about all the ways men have been responsible for gender inequality and gender violence over the years. I didn't deny that either. In fact, I wrote about in a previous article which you can read here;

https://medium.com/an-injustice/should-we-all-be-feminists-fea1f29076fd

I never in this article mention that men and women bear equal responsibility. Throughout the article I use "we", to refer to the collective responsibility that we bear in re-educating our men and women. If insinuating that that I put all the blame on women serves your agenda, I want to state categorically that I am not interested in any culture/gender war you are tying to inflame.

I thank you so much for taking your time to read.
