I am not religious, but this essay reminds me of a Bible verse that says "ask and you will receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be open unto you".

Life is not a bed of roses, so one should expect rejection and resistance from time to time, especially when breaking new ground. People who pick themselves up and persist eventually succeed and make for inspiring stories.
