Well, I have the maximum respect for Gay and her scholarship, but there was nothing super outstanding about her scholarship--at least by Harvard standards.

It seems there were people who were more qualified than her to hold that position. Because I am a black man, I am biased and so I don't want to say that she was appointed because of her race. But I sure am itching to know what the board members were considering when they choose her.
